LOTTO: With the Level 5 restrictions announced Monday evening, our Lotto will not take place over the coming weeks.

KERRY: Well Done to the Kerry Seniors who made a winning return to play in Monaghan on Saturday, especially our own Peter Crowley who made his first appearance in a Kerry jersey since March 2019. Best of Luck to the team in Saturday’s home game against Donegal, where a win would secure the NFL Division 1 title. The Kerry Under 20s were less fortunate in their All Ireland Semi Final loss to Galway. Commiserations to the team, especially our own David Mangan who was introduced late on.

CLUB SEASON OVER: The final training sessions for Under 6, Under 8 & Under 10 Boys on Sunday last and Girls on Wednesday evening brought our Club’s Bórd na nÓg activity to a close for the 2020 season. In a year that brought challenges like never before, we thank all the coaches who gave so generously of their time throughout lockdown and through the season on the field. We thank the parents who made it possible to continue coaching at home and went to such effort to get the players onto the field and, along with the Covid Supervisors, made sure our players remained safe throughout the season. Finally, and most importantly, we thank the players who were so patient and enthusiastic for all of 2020. We look forward to seeing everyone back in 2021 in hopefully a post-Covid world. The Level 5 restrictions announced on Monday evening saw the announcement by Kerry GAA that all Club matches are cancelled for the remainder of 2020.

MERCHANDISE: Laune Rangers merchandise is now available to buy directly from the O’Neill’s website. Click here to view the full range.

LEVEL 5: Now that the country has gone into Level 5 restrictions, it will make things much harder for sections of our community as the winter draws in – especially with the clocks changing on Saturday night next. The restriction of movement to 5km means that many people might be isolated from family who don’t live locally. With this in mind, Laune Rangers are looking to create a network of volunteers who have the wherewithal to be able to carry out tasks like picking up groceries or prescriptions, or even to give a knock on the door of a neighbour to (safely) see how they are keeping – it may be the only face that person may see in the day. If you are in a position to make yourself available to do any of these tasks, or indeed if you would like us to carry out such a service for yourself or a family member, email pro.launerangers.kerry@gaa.ie to let us know.

LAST LAUNE STANDING: Well Done to James Lynch who won Game 1 of ‘Last Laune Standing’. Game 2 begins on October 31st – Click here for details
