Laune Rangers Under 16 team for 2016 were presented with their County League Division 1 medals on Friday night last by Peter Crowley - a member of the last Laune Rangers team to win the competition in 2006 - and last year's All Ireland winning Kerry Under Girls captain Ciara O'Brien.  At the front of the above photo were the trophies won by Laune Rangers teams last year as well as the Munster and All Ireland trophies won by Ciara O'Brien.

LOTTO: Lotto Results for Sunday 12th March. There was no winner of the €11,400 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 17 – 21 – 26 – 29. SENIOR MEN: Laune Rangers hosted Beaufort on Sunday afternoon in the final round of Mid Kerry League fixtures before the County Senior Football League begins on March 19th. Both sides had a handful of absentees, while the game marked the return of Laune Rangers’ Shane McSweeney from a year playing in Cavan. Full Time score:- Laune Rangers 3-5, Beaufort 0-10. SENIOR FIXTURE: Laune Rangers Senior Men will begin life in Division Three of the County Senior Football League with a home game against Finuge. The game will take place in JP O’Sullivan Park Killorglin next Sunday, March 19th at 2pm.

SENIOR LADIES: Laune Rangers Senior Ladies got their County League campaign under way on Sunday morning with a home tie against Listowel Emmets, played at JP O’Sullivan Park. Final score:- Laune Rangers 0-5, Listowel Emmets 2-4. Read the full match report here

MINOR: Laune Rangers Minors overcame Firies on Saturday at a sun-drenched JP O’Sullivan Park, as they picked up their first win in the County Minor League Division 1. Full Time Score:- Laune Rangers 0-14, Firies 1-10. Read the full match report here

MINOR FIXTURE: Laune Rangers will face Na Gaeil in the re-scheduled Round 1 game of the County League Division One. The game takes place on St Patrick’s Day at 3:30pm in JP O’Sullivan Park.

UNDER 16 BOYS FIXTURE: The Under Boys get their season underway on Saturday next, March 18th. They will play Austin Stacks in the Central Region League at JP O’Sullivan Park at 2pm.

AWARDS NIGHT: Our 2nd Annual Bord na nÓg Awards took place on Friday evening last in the CYMS Hall. Ciara O’Brien – captain of the 2016 All Ireland winning Kerry Under 16 Girls team – was on hand to issue medals to the Under 12, Under 14 & Under 16 Boys, with the highlight of the evening the awarding of the 2016 County Division 1 Final Under 16 Team. Further awards were handed out to the following:- U12 Most Improved: Adam Carey; U12 Team Leader: Ryan Diggin; U14 Dev Most Improved: Barry Moriarty; U14 Dev Team Leader: Daniel Evans; U14 Most Improved: Shogie O’Sullivan; U14 Team Leader: Barry O’Connor; U16 Most Improved: Conor Murphy; Under 16 Team Leader: Daragh O’Connor.

NURSERY FOOTBALL: The Laune Rangers Under 6, 8 & 10 Boys and Girls return to training in late March. The boys will begin training on Sunday, March 26th at 10am and the Girls begin on Wednesday, March 29th at 6pm – both taking place at JP O’Sullivan Park. Registration will take place on both days also.

SCOR NA BPAISTI: Congratulations to the Laune Rangers who will compete in County Final of Scór na Paistí in the Racecourse Killarney on Sunday:- Figure Dancers - Abigail O’Shea, Jacquelyn Owens, Sarah Guerin, Laura Patton, Sarah Patton, Éabha Dolan, Rebecca Purcell, Saoirse O’Shea. Well done also to the Instrumental Music Group of Emma Crowley, Ciarán O’Sullivan, Niamh Crowley, Isobelle Sheahan & Eoghan Joy who competed on the evening also.
