The Seniors played the Senior Club Championship Semi-Final vs Dr. Crokes on Sunday last. A strong wind made this encounter a game of two halves. Crokes dominated the first half and held a commanding lead of 2-15 to 0-03 at the short whistle. Rangers fought back in the second half but the gap was too much. Final score in Lewis Road: Laune Rangers 0-13 to 2-18 Dr. Crokes.
The B were home to Beaufort on Tuesday night last in round 3 of the Mid-Kerry Junior League. The Minors were away to Beaufort on Friday 27th at 7pm in Beaufort in round 5 of the Minor Co.League. The U-16's played Na Gaeil in the final round game of the Central Region League on Monday evening last. Despite being unsuccesful on the night, Laune Rangers finished 4th in the Central Region League making for a Semi-Final meeting with near neighbours, Milltown/Castlemaine, this evening Monday at 7pm in Milltown.
Laune Rangers were away to Milltown/Castlemaine last Friday in the 5th round of the Lee Strand U-14 Co. Football League. The boys maintained their unbeaten run with a 4-10 to 2-05 victory over our neighbours. Laune Rangers have finished top of Division 3. They will play the winner of An Ghaeltacht vs Kilcummin (to be played tonight) in the Semi-Final which will take place on Wednesday 2nd\ at 7pm in the track.
The Div.1 team were away to Southern Gaels on Friday evening last. A superb game of football ensued and the girls were very unlucky not to come out on top. The Div.2 team travelled to Kenmare on Saturday last. Unfortunately Kenmare proved too strong on this occassion. This week the Div.1 have a BYE while the Div.2 team are away to Fossa, time and date to be confirmed.
U-6 & U-8 BOYS:
There will be no training for the U-6 & U-8 boys this Sunday 6th May. Training will resume on Sunday 13th at 10am in the J.P. O'Sullivan Park. New players welcome.
