Club Notes - 20/08/12

The Seniors played Legion last weekend in the County League. A much needed win saw them rise to 7 points on the League table with two games left to be played. Final score: Laune Rangers 3-11 to 1-10 Legion. The Senior Football Championship continues on the weekend of September 1st with Laune Rangers hosting Milltown/Castlemaine on Saturday 1st September at 6pm in the J.P. O'Sullivan Park. Extra time to be played if necessary.

The Senior B-Team played Fossa in the County League last weekend. A much stronger Fossa side secured an easy win. The B-Team are home to Ballylongford on Saturday 25th August at 6:30pm in a backgame.
The U-21's play Legion tomorrow night, Tuesday 21st August, in the Quarter Final of the Acorn Life U-21 Club Championship. Game takes place at 6:30pm in the J.P. O'Sullivan Park.

As our latest fundraising draw came to an end on the Scattering Day of Puck, Laune Rangers GAA Club would like to send a special word of thanks to our main sponsor, Dan Tim O'Sullivan, who provided us with a well bred, show piece Limousin Heifer, won by Margaret Flaherty, Milltown. Ticket sold by James Foley, Milltown. 2nd Prize: A top class Friesian Heifer, provided by Gene Evans and sponsored by the Dairy Farmers, won by Michael Moriarty, Killorglin Carpet Cenre. Ticket sold by Laurence Laide. 3rd Prize: 3 fine lambs sponsored by Ring of Kerry Quality Lamb and Farm Shop, won by Pa O'Sullivan. Ticket sold by Pa O'Sullivan. Well done to everyone who sold tickets or contributed in any way to make this fundraiser a wonderful success.
