The Mid-Kerry Senior League gets underway this weekend with Laune Rangers Seniors away to Beaufort at 12:30pm in Beaufort. Please come out to support the lads.
Laune Rangers hosted their neighbour's Milltown/Castlemaine in the Mid Kerry U-21 Championship Semi Final on Sunday last in the J.P. O'Sullivan Park. Goals in either half, an early effort from Daniel Macbeth and a final shot from Jack O'Connor, guaranteed the Launesiders a place in the final where they will meet Keel/Listry. An on-form Jack O'Connor ably assisted by Aaron Gamble, Shane Daly and Luke Bradley ensured Laune Rangers had a comfortable 2-13 to 0-05 victory. Round 1 of the Minor County League gets underway this weekend with the Minors hosting Kilcummin on Saturday 23rd Feb at 4pm in the Track. Please come out and support the team.

The competitions are: Figure Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music, Ballad Group, Recitation, Quiz, Novelty Act and Set Dancing. Kerry County G.A.A. Board and Kerry Mental Health Association have come together for a Mental Health Awareness Campaign.
District Boards have been asked to facilitate a presentation on the following. (A) Building resilience in challenging times. This talk will explain what good mental health is and how best to protect it. It will deal with stress, how best to cope with it and how one can build their own resilience so that they will be better equipped to survive these challenging times. (B) How to identify somebody at risk of self harm or suicide and how best to deal with the situation. This talk will inform members of the public on what signs to look out for in someone who might be at risk of self harm or suicide. It will also inform them of the most appropriate action to take if they find themselves in that situation. The talks will be delivered by Dan O' Connor and Ned Brosan of the Kerry Mental Health Association. The Mid - Kerry District Board will facilitate these talks on Thursday 21st - February - 2013 at 7.30pm in the J.P. O' Sullivan Park, Killorglin.
There will be a registration night for all players on Friday 1st March in the J.P. O'Sullivan Park Clubrooms from 7:30pm to 9pm. Membership must be paid prior to the commencement of the playing season.
