Club Notes - 13/02/12

Our Club Fundraiser is well underway at this stage. 1st Prize is a trip for two to the U.S. Masters. 2nd Prize is a trip for two to Aintree. Tickets are €20 and are available through the Club website - just click on the picture, from all Club Officers and other various locations throughout the town (Bunkers, Mulvihills, Falveys, O'Shea's, Francies). 

Laune Rangers Seniors played Glenbeigh/Glencar in the opening round of the Mid-Kerry League on Saturday last in Glenbeigh. A young Rangers outfit saw off the newly crowned Mid-Kerry Champions on a score line of Laune Rangers 1-09 to 0-06 Glenbeigh/Glencar.Team: Tony Lyons, Christopher O'Riordan, Johnny Carey, Liam McCarthy, Ryan Lucey, Jeremy O'Callaghan, Michael O'Sullivan, Jerry Coffey, Shane McSweeney, Eoin O'Sullivan, Colm O'Shea, Pa Joy, Shane O'Connor, Geoffrey Mahony, Ryan Keane. SUBS: Tommy O'Callaghan, Eamonn Carey, Seán T. O'Connor, Darragh Woods. The next round sees the Seniors away to Cromane. This game will take place on Sunday 19th February at 2pm in Cromane.

Membership is now due. The rates for the coming year are: Family - €70. Adult - €50. Juvenile player - €50. O.A.P. - €20. If any player (+18) is interested in getting a special membership rate including gym, talk to the Registrars.

The Laune Rangers qualifying round of Scór na bPáistí will take place in the J.P.O'Sullivan Park Clubrooms on Friday 24th February at 7:30pm. Anyone living in the Laune Rangers area who is attending Primary School is eligible to compete.

Laune Rangers GAA Club would like to congratulate Milltown/Castlemaine on their impressive win over Davitts(Mayo) in the A.I.B. All-Ireland Club Intermediate Football Championship Final in Croke Park last weekend winning on a scoreline of Milltown/Castlemaine 1-13 - 1-06 Davitts.
