LOTTO: Lotto Results for Sunday 9th December 2018. There was no winner of the €12,600 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 03 – 04 – 17 – 32. The Consolation Prizes were won by the following: €100 Kathleen Cahillane - sold by Maura Corcoran; €50 Elaine Griffin - sold online; €25 Raymond O'Sullivan - sold by Kerry; €25 Eileen Prendiville - sold by Pierce Prendiville. Next week’s Lotto Jackpot will be €12,800

AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Laune Rangers GAA Club took place on Saturday evening at JP O’Sullivan Park. Muireann Arthurs stepped down as Secretary of the Club, but with no nomination received in time for the AGM, the position remains unfilled and this will have to be addressed in the immediate future. If it cannot be filled, an EGM will have to be called to address the issue. The Laune Rangers Club Executive for 2019 is made up of the following:- President Barth Moriarty; Chairperson Mary Quirke, Vice-Chairperson Sinead Pigott; Treasurers Diarmuid O’Sullivan & Brian Kissane; Registrars Larry Laide & Pat O’Shea; PRO Aidan Clifford, Co Board Delegate John Griffin; Mid Kerry Board Delegate John Clifford; Development Officer John Quirke; Insurance Officer Brian O’Shea; Finance Officer Ger Counihan; Player Welfare Officer Eoin Ferris; Children’s Officer James O’Mahony; Bord na nÓg Chairman John Clifford; Bord na nÓg Secretary Paudie Lynch; Ladies Chairperson Diane Hassett; Lotto Officer John Foley; Player’s Representative to be appointed by players; Lotto sub-committee Chairperson John Foley; Club Secretary to be ratified at first club meeting of the year.

MINOR: Commiserations to the Laune Rangers Minor Team who were defeated after extra time in the Central Region Minor Final on Sunday morning, which was fixed earlier in the week. Final Score AET: Austin Stacks 5-14, Laune Rangers 3-11. Disappointment won’t last too long for the County Division 1 and Mid Kerry Minor Champions as this game was played a month after their season had finished and they were without a number of key players on the day. Well done to all for their efforts, including U15s Matt Reenstierna & Calum Moriarty who travelled with the team and both got game time under their belts.

MERCHANDISE: Christmas is just three weeks away, and the gift of Laune Rangers merchandise will be the perfect stocking filler this festive season! Our merchandise co-ordinator Carol Naughton will be the clubrooms in JP O’Sullivan Park on Saturday, December 15th from 10 to 11am. We can even accept card payments! Contact Carol on 086 892 8934 for further queries.

JUBILEE RACE NIGHT: Laune Rangers 25th Annual Race Night takes place in Bunkers Bar on Friday, December 28th. We are now taking entries into the race night – Horses are available to enter for €90 each with a prize of €250 for the winner of each race on the night. Each buyer can name their own Horse and, with the positions of Owner, Trainer & Jockey all to be filled, syndicates are welcome to enter a horse! GET INVOLVED: This year has barely come to a close, but planning starts immediately for 2019. If any member is interested in getting involved in the club, the door is always open for new volunteers in all aspects of the Club – coaching, fundraising, helping out on big match days in selling Club Lotto or operating the Scoreboard! Of course, the club is always looking for budding photographers and/or journalists that want to gain some experience in the field. Contact pro.launerangers.kerry@gaa.ie or make it known to any member of the executive if interested.

REFEREES: Are you interested in becoming a referee? Think you can do better? Then “Put your whistle where your mouth is” and become a GAA Referee! Referee courses will be provided. Contact secretary.launerangers.kerry@gaa.ie if interested
