Club Notes 8th June 2014

LOTTO: Sunday 8th June: There was no winner of this week’s €2,000 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 01 – 09 – 16 – 27. The Consolation Prize winners were as follows: €100 Paddy Larkin, Dromin West, sold by Kerry. € 50 Stephen O'Donoghue, Ross Road Killarney, sold by James Riordan. CU Vouchers of € 50 Jane Casey, Cromane, sold at CYMS & Lisa Foley, Annadale, sold by Margaret Browne.

SENIOR ‘A’ TEAM: Our Senior side had a free weekend, having seen off St Brendans in their County Championship 1st Round tie two weeks ago. Their next fixture is a County League tie against Castleisland Desmonds this Saturday 14th June in JP O’Sullivan Park with throw in at 7:30pm. Please come out to support the team.

DEVELOPMENT ‘B’ TEAM: Our Development team was not in action last weekend. Their next fixture is a County League tie against Sneem/Derrynane this Sunday 15th June in JP O’Sullivan Park with throw in at 2pm. Please come out to support the team.

MINOR: Laune Rangers Minors are joined with Mid Kerry in the County Championship & they have drawn Dr Crokes in Round One, which is fixed for July 9th.

UNDER 14 BOYS: The Mid Kerry Under 14s lost their County Final to Castleisland District last Wednesday night in an enthralling game, on a scoreline of 2-14 to 3-10. Laune Rangers had a significant representation on the team with David Mangan, Darragh O’Connor, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Daire Cleary & Eoin O’Sullivan starting while Dillon Fitzgerald, Ronan O’Shea, Sean Arthurs & Oisin Daly were also in the squad.

UNDER 14 GIRLS: Our U14 girls fielded two teams in County League Semi Finals. Our Blue team were defeated by Rathmore in the Division 1 Semi Final, while our White team beat Duagh in the Division 4 Semi Final. Well done to both teams for all their efforts.

UNDER 12 BOYS: Laune Rangers took on Killarney Legion in the 2nd phase of the County League. The Blue Team lost a fantastic game in the Division 1A clash on a scoreline of 5-18 to 4-12, while the White Team won on a scoreline of 1-3 to 1-1.MEMBERSHIP 2014: Laune Rangers is now open to Club Membership for 2014. Subscription fees are as follows: Family €70, Full member €50, OAP €20. These can be paid to Club Registrars Mary Gallagher or Tim Cronin. Our Ladies Membership is also open at the same rates as the men, with the addition of a Ladies County Board Levy of €15 paid by all girls playing U12 upwards
