CHRISTY KISSANE TOURNAMENT: The inaugural Christy Kissane Memorial Cup Tournament took place on Saturday 4th February 2017, hosted by Laune Rangers. Following a very successful day, where teams from Beaufort, Dr Crokes, Milltown/Castlemaine, Dromid Pearses, St Michaels/Foilmore, Kingdom Kerry Gaels (London) and Laune Rangers competed. In Beaufort, Dr Crokes defeated Beaufort and Dromid defeated Milltown/Castlemaine, before the South Kerry side won out to reach the Cup final. Meanwhile in Killorglin, Laune Rangers snuck past Kingdom Kerry Gaels by the minimum before the London side beat St Michael’s Foilmore. Laune Rangers also defeated St Michael’s Foilmore to secure two wins from two and book their place in the Cup Final. The Final saw Laune Rangers prevail over Dromid Pearses by 1-4 to 0-3. Well done to all concerned and many thanks to all who took part and helped out on the day.
