Laune Rangers were relegated to Division Three of the County Senior Football League on Sunday.  Read more below.

LOTTO: Lotto results for Sunday 4th September. There was no winner of the €6,000 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 09 – 19 – 27 – 32. The Consolation Prizes were won by the following: €100 Michael Foley, Glenbeigh, sold by Pat Foley; €50 Marie O’Shea, sold by Colette; €25 John & Helen O’Sullivan, standing order; €25 Kitty O’Connell, sold by Margaret Galvin. Next week’s Jackpot will be €6,200.

SENIOR: Laune Rangers will spend 2017 in the third tier of the County Senior Football League, as this year’s competition came to an end on Sunday with a home draw against Glenflesk. Final score:- Laune Rangers 1-14, Glenflesk 2-11. Read the full match report here

JUNIOR FINAL: Laune Rangers ‘B’ Team will contest the County McElligott Cup Final against Gneeveguilla. The game will take place on Friday evening, September 9th. Time and venue for the game has not been fixed yet – check local & social media for details.

UNDER 16 BOYS: Laune Rangers face Cordal/Scartaglin in the County Under 16 Division 1 Final on Tuesday evening,  Throw in 6:30pm in Fitzgerald Stadium.  All support would be greatly appreciated for this game.

UNDER 14 BOYS: The Under 14s have two teams in the Mid Kerry Competition this year. The Blue Team travel to Beaufort while the White Team host Cromane/Glenbeigh/Glencar on Friday evening. Both games will throw in at 7pm.

UNDER 12 BOYS: Our Under 12 Blue & White teams host Austin Stacks on Thursday evening, September 8th in JP O’Sullivan Park at 6:45pm and away to Milltown on Sunday Sept 11th at 6pm. These teams both defeated Ardfert on Sunday evening last.

CLUB MEETING: Laune Rangers club meeting takes place on Wednesday, September 7th at 8:30pm in our clubrooms at JP O’Sullivan Park. This meeting is open for all members to attend.

PRIDE OF THE PARISH: Best of Luck to Laune Rangers Junior player Ian Costelloe who has travelled with Team Ireland to Rio De Janiero to compete in Sailing in the Paralympic Games 2016. We’re sure you’ll do us proud Ian!
