SENIOR A: As Kerry were in action on Sunday, our Senior side had a weekend off. Their next fixture in in the County Senior Football League away to St Marys, which is to take place on Sunday, 16th August at 2pm in Con Keating Park, Caherciveen.

UNDER 16 BOYS: Our Under 16s travelled to play Cordal/Scartaglin in the County League on Wednesday last. They unfortunately lost on a scoreline of 3-10 to 2-11. They then had to take on Dingle in a playoff to reach the latter stages of the League. Again a two point loss saw Rangers exit the competition. Final score Dingle 3-9, Laune Rangers 1-10.

UNDER 14 BOYS: Our Under 14s travelled to play Annascaul/Lispole in the Central League on Monday, July 29th. A great game produced a draw – Final score: Annascaul/Lispole 5-9, Laune Rangers 2-18.

UNDER 13 GIRLS: Laune Rangers U13 Girls faced Na Gael on Tuesday last in Tralee, in the County Division 2 Championship. Laune Rangers played well in this match against a strong and committed Na Gael team. The recruits brought in from the U12 squad performed well, and quickly settled into playing on a larger pitch. One of these – Clodagh Murphy – played well in goals. At half time Laune Rangers lead 2-2 to 1-1. In the second half - and against the breeze - the Laune Ranger girls started quickly and gained a solid lead that Na Gael could not claw back. This was a strong overall team performance from the backs to the forwards and Laune Rangers well deserved the win. Full time score: Laune Rangers 4-7, Na Gael 2-2. Laune Rangers U13 girls move on to play Finuge the County Division Two Quarter Final. The game takes place in Cloon on Tuesday next (August 4th) at 8pm. All support would be greatly appreciated.

UNDER 12 BOYS: Laune Rangers have FOUR Under 12 teams playing in Mid Kerry Competition this year, with two teams competing in both Division 1 and 2. On Friday evening, these sides competed against each other in their respective divisions! For the record, the White team defeated the Blue team in the Division One clash, while the Blue team defeated the White team in the Division Two game. There was a presentation made after the game to Adam Kiely, who is leaving for Hong Kong. Laune Rangers wish to thank Adam’s parents John & Niamh for bringing him to Club training, and we wish the Kiely family well in their new life in Kong Kong.
