CLUB AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Laune Rangers GAA Club will take place on Saturday, December 8th in our clubrooms at JP O’Sullivan Park. Cub Secretary Muireann Arthurs is not seeking re-election, so the position of Secretary will need to be filled. As always, all executive positions can be contested with the exception of those appointed by the Club. Please use the nomination/motion form to complete all nominations or motions and return by post or email before 5pm on Friday next, November 30th.

LADIES AGM: Laune Rangers Ladies AGM took place on Friday, November 16th at our clubrooms in JP O’Sullivan Park. A new Chairperson of the Ladies Committee was elected on the night, as Diane Hassett has taken the reigns from the outgoing Angie Donoghue. Selina O’Connor takes over from Carmel O’Brien as Secretary of the Ladies Committee – Maria Cleary remaining as Asst Sec – although we are delighted that Carmel has remained involved, stepping in to the role of registrar vacated by Selina O’Connor. Karen Foley was appointed as Child Protection Officer to replace the outgoing Gina Halliday. Laune Rangers wish to sincerely thank Angie & Gina for their service to the Club and hope to see you back in the not too distant future. We wish Diane, Selina & Karen all the best in their new roles and look forward to working with you in 2019. Many thanks to all of the Coaches that helped out at every age grade from Under 6 to Senior in 2018. We look forward to seeing you back next year. Many thanks to Fiona Brennan, John Broderick & Siobhan O’Sullivan who are taking a step back from their respective teams for next season. Laune Rangers Ladies Committee 2019:- Chairperson: Diane Hassett; Secretary: Selina O’Connor; Assistant Secretary: Maria Cleary; Insurance Officer: Maria Cleary; Registrar: Carmel O’Brien; Child Protection Officer: Karen Foley.

GET INVOLVED: This year has barely come to a close, but planning starts immediately for 2019. If any member is interested in getting involved in the club, the door is always open for new volunteers in all aspects of the Club – coaching, fundraising, helping out on big match days in selling Club Lotto or operating the Scoreboard! Of course, the club is always looking for budding photographers and/or journalists that want to gain some experience in the field. Contact or make it known to any member of the executive if interested.

REFEREES: Are you interested in becoming a referee? Think you can do better? Then “Put your whistle where your mouth is” and become a GAA Referee! Referee courses will be provided. Contact if interested
