The Laune Rangers Under 14s: Mid Kerry Under 14 Champions 2015

MINORS: Mid Kerry defeated Dr Crokes in the County Minor Football Semi Final on Saturday afternoon in Tralee. Full Time: Mid Kerry 2-14, Dr Crokes 2-11. Congratulations to the team, especially Laune Rangers' Neil O'Brien, Patrick Daly, Jamie Clifford & Fiachra Clifford as well as fellow panellists Daniel Whittleton, George Evans & Pierce Tyther. Mid Kerry will play Dingle in the County Minor Final after the West Kerry club defeated a fancied Shannon Rangers in the other semi-final. The final takes place on Sunday next, November 1st at 2:45pm in Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney.
UNDER 14 BOYS: The Mid Kerry Under 14 Finals took place in Keel on Sunday afternoon. Laune Rangers had two teams in the competition this year. The White Team contested the ‘C’ Final against Glenbeigh/Glencar but unfortunately lost by three points. Full time score: Laune Rangers 2-11, Glenbeigh/Glencar 4-8.
The Blue Team faced Milltown/Castlemaine in the ‘A’ Final. Having led by a goal at half time (1-3 to 0-3), Rangers pushed on in the second half and won the Mid Kerry U14 Championship. Final Score: Laune Rangers 3-7, Milltown/Castlemaine 1-6.
Well done to both teams on a great season, which saw them compete at the business end of every competition they entered this year. Well done to all players & coaches for the time and effort put in during 2015. Finally, we thank the parents of the players for their continued support this year and we look forward to seeing you all back to JP O’Sullivan Park in 2016!
UNDER 11 BOYS: Laune Rangers welcomed the Under 11s of Kilmacud Crokes from Dublin on Sunday morning to play challenge games against our teams. Two games of a very high standard were played between the clubs. Thanks to Kilmacud Crokes and the parents of players for travelling to Kerry and thanks to our own players and their parents, who all went to great effort to provide a welcome to the Dublin club.
