Laune Rangers Under 14s receive their Féile gear on Sunday afternoon in the glorious sunshine at JP O'Sullivan Park!

LOTTO: Lotto Results for Sunday 24th June 2018. There was no winner of the €7,800 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 15 – 18 – 28 – 30. The Consolation Prizes were won by the following: €100 Emmet Casey - sold at CYMS; €50 Peg Brosnan - sold at CYMS; €25 John O'Neill - sold by Margaret Browne; €25 Damien McGillicuddy - sold by Brian O'Shea. Next week’s Lotto Jackpot will be €8,000.

FÉILE 2018: Féile Peile na nÓg 2018 is now just days away! Laune Rangers will compete in the Division 1 competition & will be hosted by Clonduff GAA Club in Hilltown, Co Down. They will two games on Friday evening next, both at Burren, Co Down – Burren (Down) at 5pm & New York at 6:30pm. On Saturday morning, Laune Rangers will play host club Clonduff at 10am in Hilltown before playing either a Cup or Shield Quarter Final that afternoon in Hilltown. If successful in the Quarter Final, Rangers will play a Semi Final on Sunday morning in Stamullen, Co Meath. Best of Luck to the squad and management.

SENIOR FIXTURE: Laune Rangers travel to Lewis Road, Killarney on Sunday next, July 1st to play Dr Crokes for Round 8 of the County League Division Three. Throw in 2pm.

JUNIOR: Laune Rangers have progressed to the Final of the Mid Kerry Junior League following defeat of Beaufort in the final round of fixtures on Tuesday evening last. Eamonn Carey netted a goal for Rangers in the third minute for the opening score of the game, as Beaufort responded with a point at the other end. Pierce Tyther pointed for Rangers before a clash of heads between Rangers’ Shane Crowley & Colm O’Mahony saw both players withdrawn. Daniel Whittleton & John Sheehan were introduced in their place and the former added to Rangers’ lead in the 10th minute. Beaufort scored a goal to narrow the gap but a brace from Eamon Carey saw Rangers leading by 1-4 to 1-1 with 15 minutes played. Beaufort pointed again before they scored their second goal to take a lead somewhat against the run of play. Daniel Whittleton pointed a free to level matters, but a pointed free for Beaufort gave the visitors the lead by the minimum at the break. Half Time Score:- Laune Rangers 1-5, Beaufort 2-3. John Sheehan – getting his first taste of football in 7 months – levelled the game for Rangers with a well taken point and, after Beaufort had taken the lead again, Sheehan pointed his second from distance to see the sides level at 1-7 to 2-4 with 15 minutes to play. Both sides were creating chances but the strong wind that blew at Rangers backs was challenging. Only one score was produced in the final quarter but it was a decisive one – Cian O’Shea putting Rangers ahead to win the game. JUNIOR FIXTURE: Laune Rangers will play Milltown/Castlemaine in the Mid Kerry Junior League Final on Tuesday, July 3rd at 7:30pm. Venue to be confirmed.

MINOR FIXTURE: Laune Rangers host Austin Stacks in the County Minor Championship Round 1 on Tuesday next, June 26th at 7pm in JP O’Sullivan Park.

UNDER 16 BOYS: Laune Rangers hosted Na Gaeil on Wednesday evening in Round 1 of the County Under 16 League Division One. The visiting side won comfortably in the end. Na Gaeil led by two points at the break but were too strong for Rangers in the second half. Final Score:- Laune Rangers 2-8, Na Gaeil 6-13.

UNDER 16 BOYS FIXTURE: Laune Rangers host Rathmore in Round 2 of the County Under 16 League. The game takes place on Wednesday, July 11th at 7pm in JP O’Sullivan Park, Killorglin.

UNDER 14 BOYS: The Central Region Under 14 Leagues got underway on Monday evening. Laune Rangers have two teams competing in the competition in Divisions 1 & 4 respectively, and there was wins for both sides in the first round. In Division 1, Laune Rangers travelled to Killeen, Tralee to face Na Gaeil. Following a slow start where they missed a number of chances, Rangers soon found their rhythm. The visitors led by 2-2 to 0-3 after 15 minutes as an Adam Owens goaled twice to put Rangers ahead. They went on to control the second quarter though, which proved crucial in giving Laune Rangers a healthy lead at the break with Ryan Diggin and Eoghan Hassett adding goals. Half Time Score:- Na Gaeil 1-4, Laune Rangers 4-7. Laune Rangers netted their fifth goal through John Burke in the opening minute of the second half and pushed on from there. Final Score:- Na Gaeil 3-10, Laune Rangers 5-20. UNDER 14 BOYS FIXTURE: Laune Rangers travel to Tralee on Monday evening to face Austin Stacks in the Central Region Under 14 League. Throw in 7pm in Connolly Park

UNDER 14 MID KERRY: Well done to the Mid Kerry team who won the County Under 14 District Championship last Thursday evening, defeating Feale Rangers in the Final. Congratulations to the Laune Rangers players in the squad: Ryan Diggin (capt), Adam Carey, Aona O’Shea, Tom Whittleton, Ciarán O’Sullivan, Adam Owens, Eoghan Hassett, Jack O’Sullivan, Darragh O’Grady, Cathal O’Callaghan, Cillian Foley & Killian Spillane. Well done also to the Bainistóir of the team Billy O’Sullivan.

UNDER 12 BOYS: Well done to the Laune Rangers Under Boys ‘Blue’ and ‘Navy’ teams who had great wins against Austin Stacks in Tralee last Thursday evening.

KERRY: Laune Rangers had three players involved in inter-county action this past weekend. Congratulations to Peter Crowley (Senior), David Mangan (Minor) and their respective teammates who won Munster titles against Clare and Cork on Saturday evening in Páirc Ui Chaoimh. Well done to Fiachra Cllifford & the Kerry Under 20s defeated Waterford in the Munster Semi Final on Friday evening. They face Cork next Friday evening in the Munster Final. Best of Luck to all.
