The Coffey family present Kerry County Board Chairman Tim Murphy with the James Coffey Perpetual Cup. An array of photos that adorned the walls of Coffey's Bar - the birthplace of Laune Rangers GAA - have also been donated to the club by the Coffey family and will take pride of place in our clubrooms.

LOTTO: Lotto Results for Sunday 23rd July. There was no winner of the €15,200 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 10 – 19 – 21 – 30. The Consolation Prizes were won by the following: €100 Sara O'Neill - sold by Margaret Galvin; €50 Francis Griffin - sold by Margaret Browne; €25 Stephanie Roche - sold by Pa Foley; €25 Maureen Murphy - sold by Colette. JAMES COFFEY PERPETUAL CUP: The County Under 21 Championship will have a new trophy in 2017. The James Coffey Perpetual Cup was launched on Friday evening last in JP O’Sullivan Park. The doors of Coffey’s Bar were opened Friday evening as members of the Coffey family, were joined by officers of Laune Rangers, Mid Kerry as well as Tim Murphy & Peter Twiss, Chairman and Secretary of Kerry County Board respectively. Attentions were then turned to JP O’Sullivan Park, as a great turnout of Laune Rangers members as well as former officers of the County and Mid Kerry Boards attended the official handover of the James Coffey Cup. As well as some nice words spoken by Tim Murphy and Mid Kerry Board Chairman Mike Sayers, the attendees also heard a wonderful dedication by Jerome Conway, who spoke of James’ service to Cumann Luthchleas Gael. The Coffey Family have also donated an array of framed photos that adorned the walls of Coffey’s Bar to Laune Rangers, who will give them pride of place in our clubrooms.

MID KERRY: Mid Kerry will play Kenmare District in this year’s County Under 21 Final . The team is captained by John Tyther and he is joined in the squad by fellow Rangers Aidan Cox, David Costelloe, Daniel Macbeth, Pierce Tyther & Neil O’Brien. The game takes place this Wednesday evening in Austin Stack Park at 7:30pm and the winning captain will be the first to raise the James Coffey Perpetual Cup.

HEIFER OR CRUISE: Laune Rangers ‘Heifer of Cruise’ Draw will take place again on the last day of Puck – 12th August 2017. Tickets are now available for this draw at €5 each or three for €10 and can be bought from various outlets in Killorglin or ONLINE NOW!!!

JUNIOR MEN: Laune Rangers lost to Glenbeigh/Glencar in the Mid Kerry Junior League in Killorglin on Tuesday evening July 18th, as a late breakaway goal by Sean Roche gave the visitors the win by the narrowest of margins. Full Time Score:- Laune Rangers 2-10, Glenbeigh/Glencar 3-8. Read more here. The Juniors were out on Friday evening in Portmagee in Skellig Rangers, but lost the County Junior League tie.

JUNIOR FIXTURE: Laune Rangers face Keel away from home on Tuesday evening in the Mid Kerry Junior League. Throw in 7:30pm

UNDER 16 BOYS: Laune Rangers Under 16s put in a super effort in Rathmore last Wednesday evening in the County League Division 1, but ultimately came up short by the narrowest of margins. Full Time score: Rathmore 3-7, Laune Rangers 1-12.

UNDER 16 BOYS FIXTURES: Laune Rangers host Kenmare this Wednesday evening in the 4th Round of County League Division One. Throw in 7pm in JP O’Sullivan Park.

UNDER 14 BOYS: Both Laune Rangers Under 14 Boys teams were in action on Monday last in the Central Region Competition. The Division One Team won away to Ardfert, while the Division Three team lost at home to Castleisland Desmonds. The Division Three Team will travel to play Annascaul/Lispole on Monday evening in the Semi Final of the Division. Throw in 7:30pm

UNDER 13 GIRLS: Laune Rangers defeated Milltown/Listry in the first round of the County U13 Championship last Wednesday evening in Listry. They move on to face Beale/Ballyduff this Monday evening at 6pm in JP O’Sullivan Park

UNDER 12 BOYS: The Mid Kerry Under 12 Competition is up and running. Laune Rangers will have three teams competing in this year’s competition – one in the Division 1 competition, and two in the Division Two competition. The Division One team and Division Two White Team both won in Beaufort, while the Division Two Blue Team’s game against Milltown/Castlemaine was postponed. This Friday, The Division One team and Division Two White team are home to Milltown/Castlemaine while the Division Two Blue Team are home to Cromane. All games 7pm

KERRY: Congratulations to the Kerry Junior side on their voctory over Leitrim in the All Ireland Semi Final. Best wishes to the Kerry Senior side who face Galway in the All Ireland Quarter Final on Sunday next, July 30th in Croke Park, especially our own Peter Crowley and roghnoir Liam Hassett.
