LOTTO: Lotto results for Sunday 21st June. There was no winner of the €4,800 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 04 – 17 – 20 – 30. The Consolation Prizes were won by the following: €100 Gerard O’Shea, standing order; €50 Caroline Clifford –sold by Kerry. Credit Union Vouchers €25: John Foley –sold by Kerry; John Murphy –sold by Kerry. Next week’s jackpot will be €5,000.

SENIOR A: Our A Team had a free weekend.  They next play Gneeveguilla away on Sunday, June 28th at 2:30pm.  The draw for Round 3 of the County Senior Football Championship took place on Sunday.  Laune Rangers will face Kenmare District and the game is scheduled to take place on the weekend of July 12th.

SENIOR B: Laune Rangers B played the first two Rounds of the Mid Kerry Junior League in the past week.  Round 1: Milltown/Castlemaine 1-7, Laune Rangers 1-7.  Match Report:-

NIGHT AT THE DOGS: Laune Rangers GAA Club is going to the Dogs!!  On Friday July 10th, Laune Rangers GAA Club will host an evening at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium.  The Club is currently selling tickets for the ‘Buster’ draw for the night.  Each ticket enters the purchaser into a Buster draw & the winner will be decided by the result of the ‘Buster Race’.  There are a limited number of tickets available for this draw, each with a unique combination of the numbers 1-6 – (1,2,3,4,5,6), (3,4,2,1,6,5) etc – and the order in which the dogs finish the Buster Race will decide the winner of the Buster Draw.  Tickets for the Buster Draw cost just €10, and each ticket grants the holder entry into the stadium on the night.  The first prize for the Buster Draw is €500.  Buses will also be available on the night and with CHILDREN UNDER 14 GOING FREE, it promises to be a fun evening for all the family with entertainment for all ages.  The Club would also welcome sponsors for races, advertisements, or even dogs for the evening.  If interested in becoming a sponsor, or to purchase a Buster Ticket, please contact Secretary Lisa Brennan on 087 9788003 or email PRO Aidan Clifford on  Alternatively, you can securely purchase a ticket online, following a quick registration at

U21: Laune Rangers host John Mitchels in Round 1 of the County U21 Championship on Wednesday evening next in JP O’Sullivan Park. Throw in at 7pm

MINORS: The Minor Team begin the Central League campaign this Monday evening with an away fixture against Milltown/Castlemaine. Throw in at 7pm.

UNDER 16 BOYS: The Under 16 Boys began their County League campaign on Wednesday, June 17th.  They hosted Na Gaeil in JP O’Sullivan Park.  Full Time: Laune Rangers 3-9, Na Gaeil 5-7.  Read the match report here:-

UNDER 14 GIRLS: Laune Rangers Under 14 girls faced Inbhearr Scéine Gaels in the Semi Final of the County League Division Two on Friday evening. The visiting Kenmare side took an early lead with a point but Laune Rangers dominated the first half from there. Points from Kayleigh McGlashen (free) & Hannah Joy gave Rangers the lead before Nicole Moriarty struck for the first goal of the game. Hannah Joy & Nicole Moriarty pointed before ISG registered their second score leaving Rangers in the lead by 1-4 to 0-2 with a quarter played. Another Hannah Joy point was cancelled out by by ISG before the break to put the score at half time:- Laune Rangers 1-5, Inbhearr Scéine Gaels 0-3. The second half was less than a minute old when Inbhearr Scéine Gaels were awarded a penalty, and it was slotted to the net to reduce the gap between the sides to two points. 8 minutes would pass before another score would be registered – Hannah Joy pointing a free as the game was developing into a war of attrition. Another ISG point would leave Rangers leading by 1-6 to 1-4 with a quarter remaining. Points were traded between the sides (Nicole Moriarty for Rangers) before Inbhearr Scéine Gaels struck a goal to take the lead with just minutes remaining. The visitors followed this up with a point to leave Rangers in search of a goal as time elapsed. A final goalmouth melée would not produce the all important goal though, and the Kenmare side came out on top to take their place in the Division Two Final. Full Time score:- Laune Rangers 1-7, Inbhearr Scéine Gaels 2-6. UNDER 12 GIRLS: Laune Rangers U12 Girls travelled to Na Gaeil on Tuesday last, 16th June. Rangers were down at half time by 2 points and this margin stood between the sides up to ten minutes before the final whistle. Two Na Gaeil goals late in the game made a Laune Rangers comeback very hard and the home side held out to win by a flattering margin. Full time score: Laune Rangers 0-6, Na Gaeil 3-5. Laune Rangers: Lucy Cahill, Grace Garland, Aoilbhe Mangan, Siofra Foley, Grace Halliday, Jade Costello, Isobelle Stephens, Aoife Nash Freeman, Laura Leslie, Isobelle Sheahan, Nessa Healy (0-5), Orla O Brien (0-1), Tyler O Sullivan, Edel Griffin, Aoibh O Connell.
