Beaufort started much the stronger & were two points ahead in the opening minutes – Liam Carey doing the honours with one free and one from play. Rangers then found some form and points from John Tyther (2) & John O’Shea (free) gave the home side the lead on the quarter mark. Another goal on the 40th minute for Beaufort killed the game off as a contest, and while Rangers scored three final points in the closing minutes through frees from Patrick Daly (2) & John O’Shea (1), they were met with three points by Beaufort.
