UNDER 16 GIRLS: Our U16 girls kicked off their league campaign on Thursday night under perfect blue skies. Dr Crokes came out of the blocks the fastest in a hard fought first half, but Laune Rangers defence led by the outstanding Lucy Clifford held firm and went in at half time level at 1-1 to 0-4. The second half was a different story and it was Laune Rangers who came out flying. A great save by Nicole Moriarty early in the 2nd half kick started the team and led by Ciara O'Brien and player of the match Tara Breen they never looked back. An outstanding, all round team performance by one and all as the game finished Laune Rangers 4-13 Dr.Crokes 3-1. We also congratulate Ciara O’Brien and Tara Breen who represtented Kerry U16 over the weekend.

UNDER 14 GIRLS: The young Laune Rangers team gave a much improved performance against Na Gael on Saturday last in Killorglin. Under pressure they defended well against a strong Na Gael attack. A converted Na Gael penalty gave them momentum and a lead that Rangers, despite fighting back strongly, couldn’t catch. Final score Na Gael 4-5, Laune Rangers 4-3. Laune Ranger scorers: Maggie West 1-1, Meadbh Sheehan 1-1, Zara Foley 1-0, Christina O’Brien 1-0, Nessa Healy 0-1. We also congratulate Kayleigh McGlashen who represtented Kerry U14 over the weekend.

UNDER 12 BOYS: Our U12s played on Sunday evening last. Our ‘Green’ & ‘White’ teams both came away from Na Gaeil with wins, while our ‘Gold’ team was defeated at home by Firies. The U12s also took part in a training exercise with Eamon Fitzmaurice, Paul Galvin, Killian Young & Shane Enright on Saturday as part of the Community Day in the ISK & thanks to the Kerry players/manager for their time.
