LOTTO: Lotto results for Sunday 19th October. There was no winner of the €5,800 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 02 – 19 – 21 – 23. The Consolation Prize winners were as follows: €100 Joan Denis Cleary, standing order. € 50 Ivo O’Sullivan, standing order. CU Vouchers of € 50: D McCarthy, Inch & John Cronin, sold by Colette. Next Week’s jackpot will be €6,000.

WALK WITH JOE: Our former Club Chairman Joseph Crowley’s ‘Walk with Joe’ efforts – where he has been walking in 32 Marathons in 32 counties in 32 weeks – will reach its conclusion this coming weekend. The final leg of the marathon of marathons will take place in Kerry, finishing in the square in Killorglin on Saturday next October 25th. This will be Joe’s 32nd Marathon and he is encouraging as many as people as possible to join him on some part of the walk. The route has been broken into a number of legs so you can choose to do 5kM, 10KM, 20KM, 30KM or 42KM. There will be 3 Registration Points along the Route so we encourage you, your families and friends to join in. As well as getting some great exercise and meeting some very interesting people you will be raising money for a very worthy cause. For more information, visit www.walkkerrywithjoe.com. Proceeds go to St Vincent De Paul. We would also welcome any volunteers that would be willing to take part in a bucket collection on the day. If you can help, please contact Aidan Gannon on 0876816838.

JUBILEE: To coincide with Joe’s final marathon, we will also be welcoming a special guest in the SAM MAGUIRE to town on Saturday next October 25th. The cup will of course be accompanied by Laune Rangers’ own All Ireland winner Peter Crowley – son of Joe. The Killorglin and District Pipe Band will parade the players in the bridge and up the town, & we ask that supporters come out in numbers and please be in the square by 7pm. That night is also the eve of the County Senior Final and, seeing as it has been 25 years since the historic 1989 Laune Rangers win, we will be honouring the jubilee team.

SENIORS: Our Senior teams had a free weekend, and look forward to the final round of the County League & the upcoming Mid Kerry Championship.

UNDER 12 GIRLS: Congratulations to the Under 12 girls, who won the East Kerry final on Sunday last.

UNDERAGE TRAINING: Our Sunday morning trainings for Under 6s, 8s & 10s has concluded for the year. The final action of the season came in the Under 10 Parish League on Sunday afternoon. Peter Crowley was on hand with the Sam Maguire to hand out the medals to the participants. Well done to all the players for their efforts this year and of course to the parents for bringing their children to training this year. Special Thanks also go to the coaches for their dedication and hard work for the club this year.
