UNDER 16 BOYS: The only fixtures remaining in the Laune Rangers calendar is the Mid Kerry Under 16 Competition. The competition continued on Sunday afternoon with a trip to Milltown/Castlemaine. Rangers were much better from the start of the game, with the first of their four goals coming in the 8th minute through Roan Moriarty. Further goals were added by James Hurley and Matt Leslie before the break. Half Time Score:- Milltown/Castlemaine 0-4, Laune Rangers 3-8. Rangers scored a fourth goal in the opening minutes of the second half through Roan Moriarty – an excellent finish following some super passing up the left flank. Milltown/Castlemaine played much better in the second half of the game and could have closed the gap on Rangers but for two great saves by Ronan Fitzpatrick in goal for Rangers. Points were traded between the sides and a late penalty was successfully dispatched by Dylan O’Neill for Milltown/Castlemaine to put some gloss on the scoreline.
