UNDER 10 BOYS: Laune Rangers Under 10s hosted their counterparts from Adare GAA Club on Saturday afternoon. Four highly entertaining games were played between the clubs as two teams from each club lined out. It marked a special day for one Adare trainer in particular! Laune Rangers former great Tommy Byrne took his Adare charges to the field where he made his name – JP O’Sullivan Park. Tommy won every major club honour with his native club, including 4 County Senior Football Championships, 2 Munster Senior Club Championships, and of course he was a goal scorer from the penalty spot in our most famous day of all – The 1996 All Ireland Senior Club Final victory over Eire Og. Laune Rangers wishes to thank Tommy and Adare GAA for travelling down and we hope that an enjoyable day was had by all! That served as great preparation for the Parish League that ended the Under 10 season on Sunday. Congratulations on a well spent season to all the Under 10s. We also wish to thank the parents for their patience and co-operation this year and look forward to seeing everyone return in 2016.
