Rangers Minors defeat local rivals

Killorglin side defeat Beaufort for first win of season.

Laune Rangers made the short trip to Beaufort on Saturday afternoon for Round 4 of the County Minor League. Rangers made a strong start to the game and were ahead by 1-7 to 0-4 at the break, with Cian O’Shea finishing a fine team move for the goal. Beaufort were more competitive in the second half, but couldn’t close the gap between the sides on the scoreboard as another well worked Laune Rangers move produced a goal for Dáire Cleary. Fiachra Clifford was excellent at midfield and scored 7 points – 5 from play, while Cian O’Shea added to his goal with a brace of points. Full Time score: Beaufort 0-10, Laune Rangers 2-9.
