On Wednesday evening, July 27th, Kerry defeated Dublin in Nenagh by 3-21 to 0-10 in the All Ireland U16 Girls 'A' Final.

The All Ireland Under 16 Girls champions celebrated in style on Thursday evening with a Homecoming Parade in Killorglin. Thanks to Michael G Kenny for the following photos.

Captain of the team, Ciara O'Brien of Laune Rangers, had the honour of carrying both the Munster and All Ireland trophies to Killorglin.

The team gathered at the Fishery, and climbed aboard an open top bus to embark across the bridge, led by the Killorglin & District Pipe Band.

The Laune Bridge was lined by Laune Rangers Ladies Bord na nÓg players and coaches who cheered the team into Killorglin town. The rainfall didn’t deter the good people that came out to cheer on the team as they travelled uphill into the square and on through to Library Place.

Declan Falvey welcomed everyone to Killorglin to see a Laune Rangers Kerry captain carry an All Ireland trophy across the Laune for the first time in 19 years - Liam Hassett bringing Sam Maguire across the bridge in 1997.  Ciara O’Brien was given the honour of the first introduction before the management team of Graham Shine (Bainistoir), Julie Brosnan and Joanne Brosnan (Roghnoiri) were introduced and, following Graham Shine’s words of thanks to players, selectors and parents, the players were individually introduced by Joanne Brosnan. Each player got a great response from the great crowd present. Chairman of the Kerry LGFA Paddy White gave the final words of thanks before the event came to an end.

Congratulations again to the team and it was our pleasure to host the event that we hope will live long in the memories of the players.
