Laune Rangers vs Na Gaeil – Sunday 28 April 2013
Laune Rangers U-12 Blue Team
Laune Rangers 5-19
Na Gaeil 4-09
Playing against the wind in the first half, Laune Rangers were well up for this game and took to the field with purpose and determination. The backs played well marking the Na Gaeil forwards closely. Ronan Fitzpatrick made some fine saves. Midfield were consistent and strong picking up ball and laying it off to the forwards. The forwards and others took their scores well and at half time Laune Rangers led by a goal and a point. Laune Rangers first half scores coming from Shane Doona (0-3) Conor Burke (1-0) David Mangan (0-2) Dean Callan (1-1) Ronan O Shea (0-2). Half Time Score, Laune Rangers 2-8 to Na Gaeil 1-7
The second half began well for Na Gaeil scoring 3 goals in quick succession bringing them right back into the game. This was a challenging period for the Rangers but they rallied and met the challenge head on contesting every ball and winning key possession. Good passing between the players, where they provided support for each other as they built attacks, resulted in Rangers scoring 3 goals of their own. These scores combined with dogged defending and some further good saves from Laune Rangers goalkeeper, Laune Rangers maintained their lead. However, there was little between them on the score board, Na Gaeil having scored 2 further points. Laune Rangers had the majority of the possession and many scoring opportunities and attempts on goal but were denied by the Na Gaeil keeper. To ensure a win Laune Rangers needed to translate their possession into scores and pick off points. Playing with the wind, they did just that in the latter half of the second half scoring 11 points in total and winning well in the end. Laune Rangers second half scores coming from David Mangan (2-04) Dean Callan (1-0) Eoin Clifford (0-1) Roan Moriarty (0-2) Evan Madden (0-1) Gearoid Hassett (0-2) S. Doona (0-1). Full Time Score: Laune Rangers 5-19 to Na Gaeil 4-9

Laune Rangers U-12 White Team
Laune Rangers White 5-06
Na Gaeil 5-06
The Laune Rangers White Team faced a very physical and sometimes over zealous Na Gaeil team last Sunday, the evening was cold, windy but dry. The lads had to get to grips with Na Gaeil very early on as they went 1-01 up in the first few minutes of the half; the Rangers got stuck in and began to gain control of the game. Rangers kicked a point from a free, then two goals in succession followed by a point. The backs and midfielders battled well against the wind to get the ball up to the forwards, the forwards had to be strong as some heavy tackles came in by the opposition. Rangers added another two goals and point just before half time, great goalkeeping kept the opposition at bay. Half Time score, Laune Rangers 4-03, Na Gaeil 1-02
The second half began with Na Gaeil attacking at every opportunity; Na Gaeil scored two goals mid way through half followed by a point. Rangers added a point through tremendous work. Na Gaeil broke down field from a kick out and scored another goal. The opposition kicked another point to level the game. Rangers kicked a point to go ahead by one, Na Gaeil equalised minutes later. Rangers went up the field with some great team play and scored a goal, with a few minutes left Na Gaeil scored a goal again to equalize and this was followed by a point to go ahead by one, Rangers finally got an equalizer and were very unlucky not to get win as a tricky wind pulled the ball wide on several occasions. Final score, Laune Rangers 5-06, Na Gaeil 5-06
