Laune Rangers U-12 Blue Team

Laune Rangers: 5-19

Dr Crokes: 6-06

A high scoring game Laune Rangers began well and maintained a solid performance throughout the game. At half time the score was Laune Rangers 2-15 to Dr Crokes 5- 2. Kevin Fitzpatrick played a significant role for Rangers in midfield combining well with the Rangers backs and forwards to build scoring opportunities and scoring some fine points of his own. Liam Croke also played an important role in maintaining Laune Rangers possession. The backs played well controlling the threat posed by the Dr Crokes forwards particularly their full forward over the period. The Laune Rangers team and the forwards passed the ball and played very well to achieve the Rangers full time score tally of 5-19.

Laune Rangers U 12 White Team

Laune Rangers White   3-7

Dr. Crokes  2-10

Laune Rangers White played with great spirit and determination against a very good

Dr. Crokes. From the start the Rangers got to grips with them and played some great football. Thomas Garland pulled of some great saves, while Cormac Doyle and Conor Burke closed down the opposition when goal threats were on.

Rory O’Connor and Sean Cleary played outstanding in the half back line, while Barry Connor and Ronan Fitzpatrick in midfield were excellent against taller Dr.Crokes midfielders.

In the forwards Dean Callan was a constant threat and ended the game with three goals. Kieran Whittleton, Jack Evans and Timmy Shea battled bravely through out the game against tough backs in Dr. Crokes.

The introduction of Gearoid Hassett, Column Kelliher, Eoin Doyle and Jack Carey made a big impact on the game as some of the lads were tiring due to the fast pace of the game and the unusually warm evening also.

This was a great performance and the White team must be complimented for their hard work at training that took place on a wintry Tuesday evening. Well done to all. Special mention to Aaron Houlihan who was sick, Aaron turned up to support his team mates, well done Aaron.
