A last minute point secured the win for Keel in this Round 4 match of the Mid-Kerry Senior League. Keel started strongest with two points inside the opening 5 minutes, both frees which were converted by midfielder Gary Sayers. Laune Rangers' opening score came in the form of a well taken goal by Colin O'Dwyer. A good run from Pa Joy through the centre before finding O'Dwyer ensured O'Dwyer made no mistake in kicking the ball into the top corner, giving the homeside the lead. Keel's James Nagle replied for the visitors in the 9th minute to level the game at 3 points a piece. Mike Frank Russell and Gary Sayers swapped points soon after. Laune Rangers continued to attack and scored four points in the minutes that followed, the pick of these being a Tom McGillycuddy effort after receiving a lovely ball from team-mate Ryan Keane. Points from Martin Burke (free) & Seán Sheehan left the narrowest of margins between the sides with 10 minutes to play. A Shane McSweeney shot was well blocked by Keel's Aaron Cahillane, but Laune Rangers were happy put the ball over the bar from the resulting rebound, to extend their lead once more.
