Coaching Workshops

The club have begun a major overhaul of coaching development and techniques. The main emphasis for this new approach is player welfare, flexibility and injury prevention at all ages. Under the stewardship of Jerry Horgan the attendance at 2 recent workshops has been extremely encouraging with up to 50 coaches attending on some occasions.

Jerry has worked with inter county GAA teams as well as some of the provisional rugby squads in the past and Laune Rangers are very lucky to have such experience and ability available. Jerry has worked extensively with the Senior squad since the beginning of the season and has delivered two sessions to all Bord Na nÓg coaches with one more to come.

Great credit has to be given to the officers, Mark O'Connor (Coaching Officer) and Terence Houlihan (Secretary) in organising this new approach and their enthusiasm has certainly motivated the coaches in attendance.
