Club Notes - 09/01/12
SENIORS: All roads lead to Beaufort on Saturday, 14th January, as Laune Rangers meet Glenbeigh/Glencar in the Mid-Kerry Senior Championship Final. Throw in is at 2:30pm. Replay in the event of a draw. I urge as many people as possible to travel to Beaufort in support of our lads! Best of Luck to Joe, Adrian, Brian and the team. AGM: The AGM of Laune Rangers GAA Club will take place on Saturday 14th January at 8pm in the J.P.O'Sullivan Park Clubrooms. The AGM is open to all members to attend. RACE NIGHT: We would like to extend a massive Thank You to those who turned out in force to support our annual Race Night which was held in Bunkers Bar on Wednesday 28th December. Particular thanks to those who bought horses, sponsored races, bought ads, helped in the making of the booklet, participated in the bidding wars or helped in any way in the run up to the event or on the night. Your help, as always, is greatly appreciated. LOTTO: Results of Lotto draw on Sunday 8th January. Jackpot €9,400 - one winner. Numbers drawn: 02 - 05 - 07 - 19. Happy New Year to all our players, members and supporters from all at Laune Rangers GAA Club! SENIORS: The Seniors headed for Cromane on St. Stephen's Day for a Mid-Kerry Championship Semi-Final meeting with Cromane. Unfortunately Cromane corner back, John O'Sullivan, suffered a leg injury deep into the second half and the game couldn't continue. We would like to extend our good wishes to John and hope that he makes a full and speedy recovery. Please see the Club Website, Facebook and/or Twitter for updates on this weekend's refixture vs Cromane. SENIORS: The Seniors are home to Keel in the Mid-Kerry Championship on Saturday 17th December at 2:15pm. SCOR: Well done to our Quiz Team of Shane Daly, Oisin Daly and Colm O'Mahony. Unfortunately we were beaten on the day but it was a great achievement to get to the final! GOLF: Christmas Hamper on Saturday morning from 10am - 11:30am. Timesheet on the website. DRAW: Looking for that perfect Christmas Present?? Would you like to win a trip for two to the US Masters or perhaps a weekend for two to the Aintree Grand National for a loved one?? SENIORS: The draw for the Senior Mid-Kerry Championship took place at the Mid-Kerry Board meeting last week. The following are the fixtures: Round One:Laune Rangers vs Keel will take place on Saturday 17th December at 2:30pm (Extra Time if necessary in the J.P. O'Sullivan Park, Killorglin. The semi-finals are down to be played on Monday 26th December (double header) - venue to be confirmed. GOLF: Laune Rangers Christmas Hamper will take place in Dooks Golf Club on December 10th from 10am to 11:30am. Timesheet on the website now. SCOR: We wish the Laune Rangers quiz team of Oisin Daly, Shane Daly and Colm O'Mahony the best of luck in the County Final of Scór which is being held on Sunday December 4th in the Gleneagle, Killarney. Club Notes - 16/11/11
SENIORS: The Seniors played Rathmore on Saturday afternoon last in the last round of the League. A win was needed to guarantee our future in Division 1. A great display of teamwork and skill saw us emerge victorious on a scoreline of Laune Rangers 2-15 to 1-10 Rathmore. Well done to all involved. We can now look forward to Division 1 football in 2012. Next up for the Seniors is the Mid-Kerry Championship - no fixtures as of yet. Mid-Kerry Scór na nÓg: Laune Rangers were well represented in last weekend's Mid-Kerry Scor na nOg Final. Our talented young people did the Club very proud indeed. All our acts finished either winners or runners-up in each competition entered. We wish the best of luck to our Figure Dancers and Quiz Team who will represent Mid-Kerry in the South Kerry Final on Friday night which will take place in Keel.
